Susan
Anne Harrison was born Glasgow 1959, and has lived in Scotland, London
and Northern England. After graduating from 4 years studying 3 Dimensional
Design and Interiors she headed for London and built a career in Interior
Design, with clients in the UK, Europe and the Middle East and was
awarded full membership of the Society of Chartered Designers (MCSD)
only 3 years into her design career. 19 years later Susan felt a strong
desire to return to her first love of painting and is now a full time
professional artist successfully exhibiting and selling her work,
throughout the UK.
Her
love of Northern England and her native Scotland is evident in her
contemporary landscapes and seascapes and the often wild and rugged
conditions are well suited to her mixed media style of painting.
A series of woodland paintings proved a popular addition to her
landscapes, seascapes and bold floral paintings.
In
2005 Susan became and Elected Exhibiting Member of the Leeds Fine
Art Club (LFAC), a network of 60 plus professional artists in Yorkshire
and in 2006 a Professional Elected Exhibiting Member of ERA (East
Riding Artists).
After
returning to her homeland in August 2007, Susan now works from her
studio in Murthly 8 miles north of Perth. Surrounded by magnificent
countryside and fabulous skies, Susan will never run out of inspiration
for her paintings.
Susan
would like to thank everybody who visited her solo show at NEWBY
HALL, and her residency at BURTON AGNES HALL in 2006, making them
such a success and looks forward to meeting friends old & new
at this years Perthshire Open Studios event in September 2008. (See
events page).
Thank you for visiting my site, I hope you enjoy your stay.
